In Knute's time as a legislator he has voted down nearly every piece of legislation that would help workers - choosing instead to stand behind corporations and the ultra-wealthy. Oregon has a choice coming:  A vote for Knute Buehler is a vote for someone who has repeatedly voted against working people.

 Knute Buehler and his wife each bought tens of thousands of dollars worth of tax credits through the scandal-plagued Business Energy Tax Credits (BETC) program - a program Buehler himself criticized as enriching “well-heeled investors at the expense of Oregon tax payers.”* Knute is worrying about his own profits while pretending to care about workers. In a time when too many workers are struggling to afford the basics, Knute voted no to creating an opportunity for workers to have dignity in retirement.  Knute Buehler says he’ll vote for Measure 105, which seeks to throw out Oregon’s anti-racial profiling law that passed more than 30 years ago with broad support from Republicans and Democrats. The law gives clear guidance to local police on how to handle complex immigration issues and helps reduce racial profiling while keeping local police focused on protecting local communities. Knute Buehler is completely out of touch with the realities of Oregonians who work hard to make ends meet. In 2016, Buehler voted no* to raise the minimum wage for low-income workers. When workers earning minimum wage get a raise on July 1st, it’s not because of Knute Buehler. SOURCE

Did you know flu season can last until May? Fortunately, since 2015 most Oregonians have Paid Sick Leave, a program that allows them to take time off to care for their sick kids and themselves when they’re too ill to work. Unfortunately, gubernatorial hopeful Knute Buehler sided with big business interests and voted against Paid Sick Leave in the Legislature.* It makes you wonder: Whose side is Knute Buehler on? Knute Buehler has a proven record of siding with corporate interests over the needs of working Oregonians. Just last year* he ignored pleas from patients wanting help with insulin prices going up 300% in favor of standing with the powerful pharmaceutical industry. His talking points came straight from the drug company fact sheets. Oregonians are catching on: Knute Buehler is not on their side. SOURCE

If you look at Knute Buehler’s votes and positions, it’s clear where he stands on health care: He doesn’t think it’s a right. He voted against the Hope Amendment in the 2018 Legislature*, which would have declared access to health care as a basic right of Oregonians. SOURCE
